SOAR was founded by Gavin, a top-ranked student with a 4.0 GPA, a 1550 SAT score, strong AP performance, dual-credit success through the University of Texas, and leadership experience across student government, NHS, NTHS, Mock Trial, HOSA, and community service.

SOAR removes academic barriers by connecting students with accessible, high-quality educational support through tutoring, mentorship, test preparation, and outreach.

SOAR is built around practical explanations, high expectations, and habits that students can carry into future classes. Tutoring should not only help with tonight's homework. It should help students become more independent, organized, and confident.
The student leadership model also gives tutors a chance to serve, communicate, organize, and mentor while building a stronger academic community around them.
